Love it

I’ve been using this butter for about a week now and I love it. I agree, that it can be whipped with just adding an oil of your choice…no heating or anything extra needed. I made a face cream with just this shea butter and tiny bit of sunflower oil, it’s so silky and just feels so creamy. The smell is very authentic and equates to the quality of the butter. It is very fresh, so that is how it smells….I love that! and will be ordering it again.

Beautiful!

I love all of 3CayG's shea butter, but I must say that their Fresh Benin Shea Butter is my favorite. It smells so nutty, rich, and earthy, and is a nice balance of being as soft of shea nilotica and yet as firm as their regular yellow/ivory shea butter. Because of this balance in texture, you really don't need to melt or heat it up, just add a little oil or as much oil as necessary to the fresh benin, stir and whip it up by hand, and you get a really smooth and more palatable consistency. Fresh benin can be used on its own, but I find it hard to apply using just by itself, it gets kind of crumbly, but it's nice that just a little bit of oil makes it so easy to whip up without melting, heating, or hassle. It feels so great on my skin, and again, I LOVE THE SMELL. So good, so fresh. Love this so much, the ivory as well as the yellow fresh benin. Most definitely worth the extra premium cost.

Moisturizing but not a good smell

Just made some whipped body butter using this butter and my skin loves it. Very moisturizing and perfect to use during winter months. The smell isn’t that great. But it’s tolerable. Not a horrible smell. But I was able to mask it my using some essential oils. It turned out great. I think this Shea butter is great for skin. I have super kinky hair & I think it’s too thick for hair care (just my opinion).
Great butter! I will buy again but only for skin care uses.
